Customers and the portal

A customer in Rignos is the fleet owner or driver who owns the trucks. Give them a login and they see their own trucks and nothing else.

Create one

  1. Go to Customers in the workspace and add the customer with their email.
  2. Rignos issues a password for them. Send it the way you normally reach that customer; they can change it after signing in.
  3. Attach trucks to the customer. From then on those trucks and their reports appear in the customer’s portal automatically.
An email belongs to one customer account across all of Rignos. If an address is already in use, it cannot be added twice. This is what lets a customer sign in without your shop needing its own domain — their account is found by the address, not by the web address they arrived at.

What the customer can see

  • Only the trucks attached to them. Never another customer’s, never the whole shop’s.
  • Sessions and reports the shop has released.
  • Their truck history and measured power over time.

They cannot see your other customers, your techs, your machines, your pricing or your notes. The scoping is enforced on the server for every query, not by hiding menu items.

Where they sign in

On a plan with white-label branding, that is your own domain with your logo — see White-label branding. Without it, they sign in on the Rignos address and see the Rignos name.
