These terms apply when your shop uses Rignos, operated by VietDiesel (“we”, “us”). Using the service means you accept them.
Rignos is a family of heavy-duty ECU tools for tune shops, sold on one account. RIGNOS Diag records diagnostic sessions over an RP1210 adapter, stores them, and produces reports and a customer portal. RIGNOS Flash reads, writes and verifies ECM calibrations, and can recover an ECM after an interrupted write. RIGNOS Tune opens and edits calibration files. RIGNOS Link reaches a truck outside your bay. Which tools you have depends on your plan and on what has been released; tools marked “in development” are not for sale until launch.
Rignos is a professional tool, not a decision. It is not a substitute for a dealer scan tool, a chassis dynamometer, OEM service information, or a qualified technician’s judgement, and a report it produces is not a certification of any kind. Decisions about a vehicle remain yours. Where a tool writes to an ECM, you are responsible for confirming the file, the engine and the vehicle before the write, and for the condition in which the vehicle leaves your shop.
You may use Rignos only for lawful work on vehicles you own or are authorised by the owner to service, and you are responsible for complying with every law that applies where a vehicle is operated. In particular, you must not use Rignos to disable, defeat, remove or tamper with any emissions-control system or device on a vehicle operated on public roads, or in any way that breaches the US Clean Air Act, EPA or CARB rules, or the equivalent law in your country. We do not provide, host or support calibrations that remove or defeat emissions controls. You must not use Rignos to infringe anyone’s intellectual property, or to work around access controls on software you are not permitted to modify. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches this section, and we may decline to support work that does.
You are responsible for your accounts and for what people do with them. Keep passwords private, give each person their own account, and revoke access when somebody leaves. Tell us promptly if you believe an account or machine has been compromised.
Your customers, trucks, sessions, reports and the calibration files you open or create remain yours. We store and process them to run the service for you. We do not sell them, and we do not share them with other shops. See Privacy.
Plans are yearly and priced per machine. Invoices are issued for the term. Renewing early extends the existing end date rather than resetting it. How ordering, activation, seats and renewal work is set out in our Sales policy; when we refund is set out in our Refund policy.
One subscription covers one shop. Do not resell access, share a workspace between unrelated businesses, or attempt to reach another shop’s data. Do not attack, probe or overload the service. What you may and may not do with the software itself is set out in our Copyright and intellectual property notice.
We work to keep Rignos running and we take backups, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance happens. The desktop app is built to keep recording while the network is unavailable, which is the failure that matters most in a bay.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profit, lost work, or for damage to a vehicle, an engine or an ECM arising from decisions you made using the service, or from any calibration you read, edit, write or install with it.
You may stop using Rignos at any time. We may suspend an account for non-payment or for a breach of these terms; where the situation allows, we will tell you first. On termination you may ask for an export of your data within a reasonable period.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email to account owners before they take effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
