The short version. We hold what the service needs to work: your
shop’s accounts, your customers, your trucks and your sessions. We do not sell it, do not
pool it with other shops, and do not use it to advertise to anyone.
What we hold
- Shop accounts — name, email, hashed password, role, two-factor setting.
- Your customers — the contact details you enter so they can sign in and be
reached about their trucks.
- Vehicles and sessions — VIN, engine serial, recorded parameters, fault
codes, and the reports built from them.
- Machines — the laptops you activate, their names, and optional email and
engine serial you attach for lookup.
- Operational records — sign-in times, audit entries, orders and payments.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data.
- We do not show one shop’s data to another. Access is scoped per shop in the code.
- We do not handle card numbers. Payments run on PayPal; we never see the card.
- We do not run advertising or third-party tracking on the customer portal.
Why we hold it
To run the service you are paying for: authenticate people, store and display sessions,
produce reports, send the emails you ask us to send, invoice you, and investigate
problems you report.
Who else touches it
Only the suppliers needed to operate: our hosting provider, the mail service used to
deliver notifications, and PayPal for invoicing. Where a written summary of a session is
requested, the relevant session data is sent to the model provider that drafts it — that
happens only when somebody in your shop asks for that report.
How long
For as long as your workspace exists. If you close your account, ask us and we will
delete your workspace data; backups age out on their normal schedule.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it.
- Ask us to delete a customer record or a workspace.
- Turn on two-factor sign-in for any account, at any time.
Cookies
Rignos uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. That is all — no analytics
cookies, no advertising cookies, no third-party trackers on the pages your customers see.
